§01   About

About your web designer

I'm Elias Witt. By day I build medical-billing and property-management SaaS as a software engineer. Birbol is my second business, and I run it like one — same-day replies, fixed prices, reliable timelines, and 30 days of post-launch support included on every project.

Birbol is built for contractors, local shops, and small professional-service firms — the businesses that need a working website without an agency wrapper around it. The same toolbox that ships enterprise software makes for ridiculously fast, durable sites that don't break the first time you edit them.

My day job pays the bills, which means Birbol isn't a hustle I'll abandon for a bigger client. I'll be here in five years. Most freelancers can't say that.

Serving Greenville, Greer, Simpsonville, Mauldin, Spartanburg, and Anderson — the Upstate SC region. Past projects in New Hampshire, Texas, and North Carolina.

Not a good fit if…

You already have a solid site and want bespoke motion design, a full brand-system overhaul, or an aggressive monthly SEO retainer. Every site I build includes on-page SEO and Google Business setup as standard — what I don't do is a $1,500/month ongoing SEO contract. Those are real specialties; I'll send you to someone who lives in that world. Not sure where you fit? Ask.

§02   Services

Two things, done well.

Small business websites

Design, build, launch. Fast on phones, easy to update, indexed by Google on day one. Custom-built — no website-builder lock-in.

Tech help, in plain English

Email, domains, Google Workspace, backups, the printer that won't print. I sort it out and explain it so it stops being scary.

§04   How it works

Four steps, no surprises.

  1. You tell me about your project

A sentence or two via the form is enough. Just what you have now, what you want, and a budget if you have one.

  2. I send back a real quote

Within one business day. Fixed price, scoped to what you need. No fishing for "what's your budget" — I tell you what fits yours.

  3. I design and build

You see progress along the way. Real feedback rounds, not waterfall surprises. Most projects ship in 1–6 weeks.

  4. You launch and own it

Site goes live on your domain. You own the code, the content, and the hosting. 30 days of post-launch support included — no monthly fees, ever.

§05   Optional add-on

Edit your site by talking to it.

No dashboards. No logins. No "where's the edit button?" Tell Claude what you want, and your site updates — in plain English.

Most clients don't need this. If you've ever rage-quit a CMS, you do. $3,000+ add-on.

Example conversation: a client asks Claude to update their site, and Claude confirms each change.
You
Change the phone number on the homepage to 864-555-0100.
Claude
Updated the homepage. The new number is live.
You
Add a "closed Sundays" note to the hours section.
Claude
Done.

§07   FAQ

Things people ask before they email me.

How much does a small business website cost in Greenville, SC?

Most projects land between $400 and $4,000+ depending on scope. A simple single-page site starts around $400. A standard 3–5 page site with custom design and SEO runs $1,500–$2,500. A full marketing site with integrations, blog, and a real conversion funnel is $2,500–$4,000+. I quote a fixed price after a short conversation, so you never get a surprise invoice.

How long does it take to build a website?

A simple site ships in about a week. A standard 3–5 page site takes 2–3 weeks. A marketing site with integrations runs 4–6 weeks. I do one project at a time, so timelines are reliable — you won't be waiting in a queue behind ten other clients.

Can you fix my existing WordPress (or Squarespace, Wix) site, or do I need to start over?

Most of the time, starting over is faster and cheaper than untangling an old site — and you end up with something built on a modern stack instead of patched on top of one. I'll be honest about which option makes sense for your situation.

Do I own the site, or am I locked in to monthly fees?

You own everything: the code, the content, the domain, the hosting setup. No monthly platform fees, ever. If you want me to host and maintain it, that's a small monthly cost — but it's optional, and the site keeps working without me.

Will my site show up in Google?

Yes — every site I build ships with on-page SEO and Google Business profile setup as standard. That gets you ranking for your business name and local search terms. What I don't do is an aggressive $1,500/month ongoing SEO retainer — that's a specialty, and I'll point you to someone who lives in that world if it's what you need.

What if I want to make changes after launch?

Thirty days of post-launch tweaks are included. After that, small edits are $50–$100. If you want to update the site yourself by just telling Claude what to change, I can wire that up too (see the AI-edit section above — $3,000+).

Do you work outside of Greenville?

Yes. I've built sites for clients in New Hampshire, Texas, North Carolina, and across the Upstate SC region. Everything happens over email, video calls, and screen shares — geography doesn't matter much.

Are you really a one-person shop?

Yes. I'm a software engineer working in medical billing and property management SaaS by day. Birbol is my second business, and I treat it like one — same-day replies, fixed prices, and reliable timelines. My day job isn't going anywhere, which means neither am I.
